The Project “Faces of the Central Bus Station” in Tel Aviv came about through two years of volunteering teaching photography at the central bus station. I contacted JR and the Inside Out Project to create an action in the seemingly abandoned - yet lively - space that is the Central bus station of Tel Aviv. The project emerged with fifty portraits of individuals that I met in this space and created a sense of home out of the station - this project aims at showing the rich cultural space it has become in a building that is considered to be one of the most neglected in Tel Aviv.

Follow up of the action: Layers of Art
Three weeks after the installation day, the photos started to get damaged and ripped. I decided to invite the people we photographed alongside friends - painters, writers, artists in general to add layers of art on the photos and continue the process of creation in a space of abandonment. We brought colors, brushes and sprays, people stopped by and started painting, sometimes staying with us for hours and others to just leave a brush stroke.
